Shomaru Yokoze

On the way to Chichibu, there is a great place to look at the ice and frozen river.

Wow wow wow......out of nowhere ....... Went on a weekend driving down from Tokyo. It's easily accessible by train too. One can easily spend 45 mins to an hour here. It was chilly , but bearable. There is a nice eatery near the station to enjoy some steaming udon and Soba

The place is perfect for a nice weekend. The icicles were beautiful in the morning you could enjoy the natural scenery. You could enjoy a special kind of drink special to this area. It's said to help with mountain climbing. It tastes like a strawberry yogurt. The other food you can eat is some kind of vegetables stew. At night the beautiful illumination creates a special mood. Totally recommended.
